Cancellation Policy FAQs
What about my hotel room reservations?
There is a $100 cancellation fee for any hotel room cancellation. This fee is being waived for any hotel reservation canceled between Sept. 24 and 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1. Any hotel cancellation made after that date will be charged the $100 fee. You have until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, your credit card will be charged a cancellation fee of $100 for each room canceled. After Nov. 3, you will need to contact the hotel directly for any new reservations, modifications or cancellations. Failure to cancel a reservation by 5 p.m. on Nov. 3, failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date or an early departure will result in a one-night’s room and tax charge by the hotel.
What if our district’s levy doesn’t pass on Nov. 2 and we need to cancel?
We understand that going to a conference after your district’s levy failed is not being a good steward of your district’s finances. For that reason, OSBA would not enforce the cancellation policy.
What if a board member loses their election and no longer wants to attend?
If possible, switch that registration to the newly elected board member. If not, OSBA would not enforce the cancellation policy.
