We strive for full access to the activities of these events based on an awareness of participants’ needs and appropriate planning. We work with the GCCC caterer to ensure that OSBA events offer vegetarian and gluten-free food options.

OSBA strives to ensure that our platforms and providers are accessible. The keynote sessions will include live American Sign Language interpreters.

GCCC has a designated nursing mothers’ room located in the GCCC connector between the convention center and the Hyatt Regency, near the escalator to Battelle Grand (North).

As a Public Assembly Facility, GCCC is responsible for permanent building access accommodations, such as wheelchair ramps, automatic doors, elevator standards, door-width standards, parking facilities and restroom accessibility.

Wheelchair mobility: Wheelchairs are available at GCCC Public Safety. Contact Public Safety at (614) 827-2457.

Scooter rentals: You can rent a motorized scooter for use in the convention center and connecting hotels by contacting GCCC Guest Services at (614) 827-2531 to book. Advanced Medical Supply also rents motorized scooters. Arrangements for these rentals should be made in advance of the conference. Contact Advanced Medical Supply at (614) 870-0111.

Transportation: Shuttles with a lift can be arranged for transport between any official OSBA hotel and the convention center for door-to-door service for attendees with mobility devices. A phone number to call for scheduling will be posted on transportation signage and in the event app.

Wheelchair-accessible seating: Areas are set aside in the Union Station Ballroom to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters. Please see a General Session usher for the location.

OSBA is committed to mental health and the conscious inclusion of neurodiverse attendees. The Tranquility Room in B 141 is a quiet space where nonflourescent lighting, weighted blankets and other sensory grounding tools are available. All attendees are welcome to stop in and replenish their energy.

This room is open:

  • Sunday, noon-5 p.m.

  • Monday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Tuesday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
