Join us for a discussion of the most recent developments in legislation, case law and school law trends. Make sure your knowledge is on the cutting edge of recent legal changes so you know what to expect looking forward.

10:30 a.m. Repeal, replace, repeat — insurance today
Benefits issues have never been more confusing, as legislators continually revise insurance mandates and laws that impose significant monetary penalties on employers. Join a panel of benefits attorneys as they explain available insurance options, the dangers of inequitable benefits and noncompliant plan documents and what we can expect next.

1:15 p.m. Investigations — critical skills debriefing
Administrators often must initiate investigations that may be a crucial piece of documentation for districts in litigation, but also may be used to prevent litigation. Experienced attorneys share strategies to avoid problems, conduct thorough investigations, document them appropriately and more. Hear fictional scenarios that illustrate concepts and identify troublesome areas.

2:45 p.m. Constitutional law and public schools
A panel of legal experts discusses First, Fourth and 14th Amendment issues, including recent developments. Attorneys provide an overview of these topics as they relate to employees and students and answer your questions.
