OSBA Capital Conference health and safety planning

OSBA is planning for the Capital Conference and Trade Show to take place Nov. 7-9, 2021, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) and looks forward to our members convening in person this year.

As of Sept. 9, 2021, the City of Columbus has issued a mandatory face-covering order for all publicly accessible spaces within the City of Columbus, whether or not a person is vaccinated. GCCC follows all federal, state and local orders as it pertains to COVID-19 and will therefore require all employees, guests and members of the public to wear face coverings while inside all public spaces at GCCC.

As always, the health and well-being of everyone attending the Capital Conference is of utmost importance. OSBA is working diligently with our business partners, including GCCC, the city of Columbus, FERN expositions, Levy, Cardinal Transportation and all of our hotel partners, to implement the best health and safety practices possible to ensure we have a successful event where everyone feels safe while conducting business. We are pleased to share that our partner, GCCC, managed by ASM Global, has earned the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation. GCCC has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention in the facility. To achieve this accreditation, the GCCC demonstrated compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures. You can learn more about the proactive cleaning and safety measures taken by the GCCC, and the GBAC STAR accreditation and current information about GCCC’s health and safety protocols.
